Lohnbuchhalter /Payroller (all genders welcome)

We are currently looking for a Payroll Accountant (m/f/d) to join our HR team at our Berlin or Bielefeld site, on a part-time or full-time basis (minimum 30 hours per week). You will be responsible for independently managing payroll for Triple A Premiumretail staff and will act as the main point of contact for all payroll-related matters. As we operate in the retail sector, you will regularly process payroll for hourly-paid staff as well as shift patterns involving allowances (including night, Sunday and public holiday allowances).

• Independently carrying out monthly payroll processing using DATEV – for both fixed-salary and hourly-paid staff• Processing shift patterns and retail-specific allowances (night, Sunday, public holiday and overtime allowances)
• Maintaining personnel master data and payroll-related transaction data (including working time accounts and timesheets)
• Acting as the point of contact for staff and managers on all payroll-related matters
• Corresponding with authorities, health insurance providers and social security bodies
• Preparing certificates, declarations and reports
• Assisting with monthly and annual closing procedures as well as audits (payroll tax, social security)
• Communicating on payroll matters with international colleagues in English

• Several years’ experience in payroll accounting (essential)
• Proficiency in using DATEV (essential)• Good written and spoken English (essential)
• High level of reliability and attention to detail when handling confidential data (essential)
• Completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally with further training as a payroll accountant
• In-depth knowledge of income tax and social security legislation
• Experience with hourly wage, shift and bonus models, ideally from the retail sector
• Structured, independent working style and ability to work as part of a team
